Asar ol-Haqq (Vol. II) Asar ol-Haqq (Vol. II)
(Words of Truth Vol. II)

Editor: Bahram Elahi, MD
Language: Farsi

Publisher: Jeyhoun
Edition: Second

Words of Truth represents a sampling of Ostad Elahi’s thought that was conveyed in friendly and informal gatherings. Published in 1991, a few years after the release of the first volume, the sayings in this work are mostly arranged in chronological order and offer the reader a glimpse into the atmosphere that permeated those gatherings. The discussions at times covered a range of topics and at other times focused on a single subject. Words of Truth is the outcome of these discussions, which spanned a period from 1964 to 1974 when Ostad Elahi passed away. The book bears witness to Ostad Elahi’s wisdom, experience, and knowledge, both in the context of theoretical discussions wherein he would convey complex mystical and philosophical subjects in simple terms, and in the analysis of his own personal experiences that he would share with others.

The majority of this work, or in other words the majority of Ostad Elahi’s lessons, relate to the soul, the process of spiritual perfection, self-knowledge, the other world, rights and responsibilities, ethical attributes, etc., and can help human beings to progress. As such, all these matters have been compiled in this book to serve as a guide for seekers of the truth.

Despite being qualified to do so, Ostad never issued any religious edicts or decrees due to his conviction that each person is free to choose his or her own path and should do so on the basis of his own volition, pursuing the path of truth with the use of his personal willpower.
