Index of Kalâm-e Saranjâm (Fehrest-e Kalâm-e Saranjâm)
Kalâm-e Saranjâm is a collection of sacred texts in verse dating back to the 14th century. These texts were passed on orally for more than two centuries before being transcribed. The oldest known manuscripts, of which there are only three, date back to the 19th century. Ostad Elahi owned two of these manuscripts, as well as sixty more recent versions. Twice in his lifetime he also had access to the original manuscript.

Given his background, knowledge, and extent of his research, as well as the documents he had in his possession, Ostad Elahi’s ability to interpret the texts and context of the Kalâm-e Saranjâm was unparalleled. In this Index, he was thus able to distinguish the most authentic manuscripts from the widely circulated false ones, and to catalog all the texts of the Kalâm-e Saranjâm.

There are other unpublished writings and manuscripts of Ostad Elahi, notably a collection of poems and an interpretation of the Koran in Kurdish verses.
